Anti-abuse check

One quick puzzle

Drag the piece into the dashed slot so we know you're human. No third-party CAPTCHA, no tracking.

Drag with your mouse or finger. Release when the piece fits.

Keyboard: focus the puzzle, move with the arrow keys (hold Shift for bigger steps), then press Enter.

A successful check is valid for 10 minutes and up to 3 conversions.

Why VectorForge

Built for logos, not for photos

A vectorizer that understands gradients, shadows and flat colour — and produces files you can actually edit.

Gradients stay gradients

Soft colour transitions become real linear and radial SVG gradients, not stair-stepped bands.

Fewer, cleaner paths

Shared borders and simplified contours keep the file small and easy to edit in any vector tool.

Shadows stay soft

Drop shadows are recovered as blurred SVG shapes instead of slices of colour.

Private by default

No image storage, no image-content logging, no accounts. Behavioural checks are used only to stop abuse.

Free and open

No sign-up, no watermark, no credit card. Convert as often as the fair-use limits allow.

No third-party CAPTCHA

A small puzzle plus browser proof of work replaces tracking-heavy CAPTCHA services.

How it works

Three steps, no account

Everything runs in your browser and on the same origin as the API.

  1. 1

    Choose your image

Drop a PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 5 MB. Preview it and set optional tracing options.

  2. 2

    Solve the quick check

Place the puzzle piece, then let your browser compute a short proof of work. It takes a moment.

  3. 3

    Preview and download

Compare the original with the SVG, check the stats, and download the file. Your SVG is yours.

Limits

Small, sharp uploads work best

The free service is tuned for logos, icons and flat or duotone artwork.

5 MB per image

Files above 5 MB are rejected before conversion. This keeps the service fast for everyone.

2000 px longest side

Larger images are downscaled automatically. Vector artwork rewards clean edges more than pixel count.

PNG, JPEG, WebP in

SVG out. Animated images, layered files and CMYK documents are not supported.

Rate-limited

Abuse protection limits requests per IP and overall. If you see HTTP 429, wait a moment and retry.

No image retention

Images are processed in memory and discarded. Anti-abuse telemetry is short-lived and never used for advertising.

Best for logos and icons

Photos, fine detail and painterly illustrations may not trace cleanly. Start with the logo preset.

The service is free and provided as-is, without an SLA. See the terms for fair-use rules.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is it really free?

Yes. The converter is free to use, with no account, watermark, or credit card. Fair-use rate limits keep it available.

Do you store my images?

No. Your image is processed in memory, returned as an SVG, and discarded. We do not log image contents or use images for training.

What files can I upload?

PNG, JPEG and WebP up to 5 MB, with a longest side of 2000 px. Larger images are downscaled; other formats are rejected.

Why is there a puzzle and a proof of work?

They replace third-party CAPTCHAs. A short browser puzzle and hash challenge stop automated abuse without Google reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, or tracking scripts.

What data does the anti-abuse check collect?

Pointer timing, path length, pauses, and coarse browser signals such as language, timezone, screen size, WebGL and Canvas characteristics. They are used only to block abuse and are retained briefly. See the Privacy Policy.

Can I use the SVG commercially?

Yes. As between you and us, you own the SVG generated from your image. You are responsible for having the rights to the original and for how you use the result.
