Terms of Service
Last updated:
The rules for using VectorForge's free image-to-SVG converter, including fair-use limits, ownership of your SVG output, and disclaimers.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of png2svg.web-site.top and the related conversion service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
VectorForge converts supported raster images (currently PNG, JPEG and WebP) into SVG using automated tracing. The Service is provided free of charge and without any service-level agreement. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it, in whole or in part, at any time.
2. Fair use
You agree to use the Service reasonably and not to:
- bypass, disable, or interfere with the anti-abuse challenge, proof of work, or rate limits;
- use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or bulk upload tools against the Service;
- upload files that are unlawful, malicious, or that you do not have the right to process;
- attempt to overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
The current public limits are a maximum of 5 MB per image and 2000 pixels on the longest side; larger images may be downscaled. We may apply per-IP and global rate limits, return HTTP 429 when they are exceeded, and block traffic that appears abusive. Limits may change without notice.
3. Your content and responsibilities
You keep all rights you hold in the images you upload. You are solely responsible for them and for the output you create. You must have all necessary rights and permissions to upload and process the image, including any logo, artwork, photograph, or personal data it contains. Do not upload confidential material, illegal content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
4. Your SVG output
As between you and VectorForge, you own the SVG files generated from your images. We do not claim ownership of your output and do not require attribution. Automated tracing can produce results that resemble the source image; you are responsible for checking that your use of the output complies with applicable law and third-party rights. Similar inputs may produce similar outputs, so we cannot guarantee that an output is unique.
5. Verification tokens
The Service issues short-lived verification tokens in the browser after you solve the anti-abuse challenge. They are kept in memory, are valid for a limited time (currently 10 minutes) and a limited number of conversions (currently 3), and must not be shared, sold, or automated. Expired or exhausted tokens require a new challenge.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by VectorForge or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or software except as necessary to use the Service. Open-source components are licensed under their respective licences.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that an SVG will meet your requirements. Always keep a copy of your original image.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VectorForge and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service (which is zero for the free Service). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VectorForge and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for abusive use.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we process and why. It is part of these Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.
